No fee for weighing goods, clarifies FCI

anipur Drivers' Association (MDA) has said that Food Corporation of India (FCI) cannot charge money for entry, weighing and unloading of goods in the FCI warehouse.
Interacting with medias MDA assistant secretary Khundongbam Sangeet said that the association received complaints from drivers regarding the issue and it turned out to be true.
However, MDA applied" an application under RTI and in response FCI regional office Manipur's deputy general manager (R) informed that there is no provision for charging money on these services.
He then appealed to officials at FCI warehouses to stop such illegal activities while cautioning that MDA will seek legal help if they continue.
He also informed drivers not to entertain any monetary demand in future.
