SFs seize drugs, arrest one

Imphal, January 31 2022: A combined team of Kakching police and 37 AR nabbed one person along with suspected Methamphetamine from Sora Chingwangmai area on Monday.

In a release, Kakching SP Shrey Vats informed that based on reliable inputs a vehicle checking operation was launched by the combined team in Sora Chingwangmai area.

During subsequent checking, a Chevrolet Beat (ML05J 5007) was intercepted and upon searching the vehicle the team recovered suspected Methamphetamine from the driver and subsequently seized observing formalities.

The accused driver identified himself as Md Riyash Khan (22) s/o Md Jaya Khan of Sora Chingwangmai village, Kakching district.

Apart from the suspected methamphetamine weighing 45 grams, the team also seized one mobile phone - Redmi 10S (blue colour) from the accused, the release informed, adding that the arrested person along with the seized items and vehicle has been handed over to Kakching PS for further investigation.
