Workshop for elementary teachers underway

Imphal, April 20 2022: A five-day workshop for elementary level teachers on 'development of low cost teaching aids' organised by State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) commenced from Wednesday at the Council's multipurpose hall, Lamphelpat.

SCERT DDO professor A Romel, who attended the opening ceremony as one of the presiding members along with administrative officer Th Maniratan, said that 50 elementary teachers under ZEO Zone-I and II would be made familiar with low cost teaching aids made from locally available materials like plastic bottles, carton box, etc., which would come handy in teaching students in elementary stage classes.

He also highlighted different workshops, seminar and training programmes organised by SCERT to improve the education system of the state.

DIET senior lecturers A Aruna and A Sobita spoke as resource persons at the technical session.
