Indian Red Cross Society assists fire-affected family

Bishnupur, July 16 2024: Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Bishnupur District Branch on Tuesday provided relief materials to the family of Konthoujam Bijenti, wife of (late) K Somendro of Ningthoukhong Ward No 12, whose house was engulfed by accidental fire.

The aid was handed over to the family by IRCS Bishnupur chairman Dr W Gulapi, secretary Dr H Romen, executive members Yaima Thiyam, W Tolangou, RK Nabakumar, Kh Khogendro and others.

While thanking the Red Cross team for their generosity, Bijenti's daughter in-law Bembem appealed to the government for extending help to the family as they have lost much of their valuables in the inferno and struggling to support the children.
