COVID-19 mass testing and vaccination drives held

Imphal, June 16 2021:
Two day mass COVID-19 testing and vaccination programme was held at Pukhao Terapur in Imphal East since yesterday in view of the recent surge in Covid positive cases in the area.
More than 500 individuals were tested during the COVID-19 mass testing and vaccination programme which concluded today and 5 individuals tested positive for Covid.
The Pukhao Terapur Covid Task Force in a press release extended gratitude to MLA of Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency and DC, SDO, SDC, CMO of Imphal East district for making the programme a successful one.
The Covid Task Force also thanked the doctors and medical staff for their relentless contributions.
Meanwhile, mass testing cum vaccination programme for COVID-19 was held at the community hall of Amateur Athletic Association (AAA) at Kongpal Kongkham Leikai today.
The programme was organised by Khurai Chingangbam Leikai Gram Panchayat in association with AAA, District Administration and CMO of Imphal East under the aegis of L Susindro, MLA of Khurai AC.
Speaking on the sidelines, L Kananbala Devi, pradhan of Khurai Chingangbam Leikai Gram Panchayat said that in order to detect one's Covid status and to take up necessary precautions accordingly, the mass testing cum vaccination programme has been organised and appealed to all to take the benefits of such programmes.
She also stressed on the importance of getting vaccinated, which is the most important measure to protect oneself from COVID-19 and to contain the spread of the ongoing pandemic.
In today's programme, 5 individuals tested positive out of 100 who underwent the test.and around 50 individuals were vaccinated.
L Susindro also came and inspected today's programme.
Thongju
COVID-19 mass testing and vaccination drive was held today at Thongju Assembly Constituency for the 17th time.
The mass testing cum vaccination drive was held at the building of USYUC at Uchekon Yubraj Palli Thongkhong organised jointly by Thongju Kendra GP Level COVID-19 Task Force and Thongju Kendra Voluntary Worker's COVID-19 Relief Committee under the aegis of Works Minister Thongam Biswajit.
Out of 78 individuals tested, 7 were found to be Covid positive and around 53 individuals were vaccinated today.
