Children's camp organised, saplings planted

Tengnoupal Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a children's camp in Shaibol village on Monday to commemorate the 75th Years of Independence Day.
A total of 40 children attended the camp, wherein, they enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the various events held in the programme such as weapon display, sack race, circle game and musical chairs.
Stationery items were also distributed to the children, a medical camp at Shaibol village on Monday.
The same battalion also organised a medical team at Shaibol village during which 121 locals including 47 children were provided necessary medication and relevant advice by the medical officer.
Meanwhile, Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) carried out a tree plantation drive at COB Pallel in Kakching district on Tuesday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), as part of activities planned under Van Mahotsav locals of Pallel were warmly welcomed to take part in the said drive, wherein the importance of green cover was explained to them.
A total of 1800 saplings were planted in this drive.
The civilians were not only encouraged to plant the saplings but were also gifted two saplings each for promoting the said idea in the society as a whole, the PRO said.
