Uripok micro park opens for public

Imphal, October 18 2021: A public park developed under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Amrit scheme at Imphal Municipal Corporation Ward No 6 Uripok Achom Leikai has been inaugurated and handed over to the people on Monday.

At the inauguration event, MAHUD director Thingbaijam Harikumar said the park has been developed as part of IMC's programme to develop one micro park in each ward of IMC under Amrit scheme and the park inaugurated at Uripok Achom Leikai was the first one.

Former IMC ward no.6 corporator Tourangbam Indrajit said that the park was developed with around Rs 8 lakh fund from Amrit scheme with support of local people within a record short time.

The inauguration event was also attended by IMC commissioner K Chandrakumar, joint director (environment & climate change) T Brajakumar and Youth Club Uripok Achom Leikai president B Shantikumar and others.
