COVID-19 Task Force Samurou formed

Imphal, June 16 2021: COVID-19 Task Force, Samurou has been formed to undertake CO VID-19 related works in the area.

The newly formed task force will be functioning under the supervision of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) .

Huirem Shyamkesho Meetei (Chairman), Shandam Bijoy Singh (Convenor), Naorem Dorendro (Co-Convenor), Md Yunus (Secretary), Y Rabi (Assistant Secretary), Mutum PK (Treasurer) and Nongthombam Nganba Meetei (Publicity Secretary) were also appointed to overlook the day to day functioning of the task force, said a statement issued by COVID-19 Task Force, Samurou.

An application to form a task force was submitted to DC Imphal West on May 31 through AMUCO and All Mayai Lambi Clubs Organisation, however, no reply has been received in this regard.

The members of local clubs have been extending assistance to Samurou PHC in vaccination and other activities of the PHC.

A vaccination drive for differently abled individuals above 18 years of age was also jointly organised by COVID-19 Task Force Samurou and Disabled Development Association (DDAM) at Samurou PHC today.

The Task Force thanked MO in charge Samurou PHC for all the cooperation extended to make the vaccination drive a success, added the statement.

A 10 bedded Community Home Isolation Centre was also open today at Samurou Primary School to serve as an isolation centre for people who does not have required conditions for home isolation.
