KIMACS celebrates foundation day

The 22nd Foundation Day celebration of Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS) was held today at its office premises inPalace Compound.
The event was graced by dignitaries, including Ngangom Uttam Singh, Director, Department of MAHUD & DIPR, Manipur; RK Tharaksana, president, Women Association for Socio Economic Development and N Ajitkumar, president KIMACS.
Speaking on the occasion, Ningthoujam Ajitkumar said that KIMACS ever since its inception has been working earnestly to safeguard and promote the indigenous culture and traditions of the State so that its legacy will be carried forth to coming generations for a strong and developed society.
He also called for collective effort to promote & preserve the culture and traditional arts forms of Manipur.
As part of the event, certificates were handed over to about 1,500 students who participated in the Manipur Thang-Ta Day Mega Demonstration held on November 15, 2024.25 Thang-Ta students of KIMACS were also felicitated.
