Medical camp held at Akampat relief camp

Imphal, August 10 2024:
A comprehensive dental and medical camp was organised at the Akampat relief camp by the department of paediatric and preventive dentistry, department of public health dentistry, Dental College RIMS, in collaboration with the directorate of AYUSH, EMA Trusts, Heritage Foundation of Mankind, Sangaiprou, and Ideal Girls' College, Akampat on Saturday.
The camp was conducted by 14 dental doctors, along with specialists in medicine, ENT, paediatrics, ophthalmology, and auxiliary staff.
A total of 117 children and adults were examined, receiving various dental treatments including extraction, restoration, and oral prophylaxis.
In addition to dental care, the camp featured free medicine distribution, an AYUSH health talk, and distribution of AYUSH health kits.
A pottery-making class was also organised for the children residing in the relief camp, adding a creative and engaging aspect to the event.
The initiative was part of the "ISPPD NANHI-MUSKAN Project" and the Swachhta Action Plan 2024-2025, aimed at improving the overall health and quality of life for underprivileged children.
