MLA Rameshwar, supporters quit BJP

Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar along with a large number of his supporters has quit BJP after he was denied party ticket for the upcoming state assembly election.
Announcing his decision during a meeting held at his residence on Monday, Rameshwar said that he put his best efforts in the service of the public and advocating party's value, ideologies.
However, some state leaders of the party rejected his name for their vested interest.
Considering the way the party chose its candidates, BJP will not get more than 20 seats in the upcoming election, he said.
Maintaining that BJP and Congress are two faces of the same coin, the MLA said that he will take a decision regarding his political affiliation after consulting with his supporters.
However, he wants to join a party, which will be part of the next government.
BJP Kakching Mandal president Shougaijam Shyamjai also reconfirmed his resignation from the party.
He also announced dissolution of Morcha units and committees as well as resignation of Rameshwar's supporters, who joined BJP earlier.
