UWDO, BAAL reach out to Chiru village

Bishnupur, December 29 2024: In connection with celebration of Christmas and the Platinum Jubilee of Nungshai Chiru Baptist Church, United Women Development Organisation (UWDO) and Bishnupur Akoiba Apunba Lup (BAAL) Women's Wing donated three 500-litre capacity portable water tanks on Sunday.

UWDO president Nepram Bimol and BAAL Women Wing president Oinam Bina, along with members of the two organisations, visited Nungsai Chiru arid Parengba Khunou villages under Kangpokpi district and handed over the water tanks to Nungsai Chiru Baptist Church pastor Kh Akung Chiru and Nungsai Chiru Youth Welfare Organisation president Kamchek Chiru on the sidelines of a grand feast.

Speaking on the occasion, Nepram Bimol noted that as people of Nungshai Chiru and Bishnupur have been living in harmony, and supporting each other in times of joy and sorrow since time immemorial, those trying to strain such warm relationship will not succeed.

Meanwhile, Kamchek Chiru expressed gratitude to UWDO and BAAL for their generous donation in connection with the platinum jubilee celebrations.

He prayed for early solution to the ongoing crisis in the state and for restoration of peace at the earliest.
