ZSOM calls for expediting Maram-Peren road job

Imphal, January 25 2023: The Zeme Students' Organisation Manipur (ZSOM) urged authorities concerned for speedy completion of the Maram-Peren road construction as the project is would be culmination of the long cherished dream of the locals.

In a statement, ZSOM president Haizerangbe Paul called upon all civil society organisations in the area not to cause any disturbance, in timidate or serve monetary demands.

No intimidation or demands will be entertained and will be strictly monitored, he said.

Active volunteers will also be kept on watch for the safety and smooth functioning of the agency concerned and the locals will be a guardian to it.

If any untoward incident is reported on any part of the.

road span, the people concerned will be made accounted for, he said and also called for cooperation from locals and the Nagas in general as the ongoing work is for the common interests of the area.

ZSOM also expressed gratitude to chief minister N Biren for his sincere approach in making the remote area a dream come true.

At the same time, ZSOM urged the NHIDCL to expedite the construction work and maintain work quality for the welfare of the people.
