PNWU general conference concludes

The 7th General Conference of Poumai Naga Women's Union (PNWU) concluded on December 14 with the Union extending gratitude to all concerned for making the conference held at Oinam Hill village successful.
PNWU, in 'its message, thanked tribal affairs & hills minister Vungzagin Valte; PHE minister L Dikho; forest, environment and climate change minister Awangbow Newmai; NPF vice president W Joram; additional SP Tholu Rocky; and District & Sessions Court, Senapati additional PP Koshia Mao for their valuable presence as chief guests and guests of honour on different days and dates.
The Union also expressed its gratitude to all participants and delegates representing different units and villages of Poumai Naga tribe for making the programme a grand success from the beginning of the conference till the end on December 14 .
The last session of the conference witnessed a beauty pageant 'Mrs Poumai 2021' with the title won by PK Paone of Oinam Hill village, who is the better half of Ukhrul police station inspector Lanee Tao.
She had worked as an air hostess for six years and is presently a business woman.
Shekho Dune, wife of (Late) Albert of Tungjoy village was the 1st runner-up, while Ng Esther, wife of DS Kodu of Maiba village was the 2nd runner-up in the pageant.
