104th Birth Anniv of Indira Gandhi observed

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) observed the 104th Birth Anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at Congress Bhawan here on Friday.
The observance was attended by MPCC president N Loken Singh, CLP leader 0 Ibobi Singh, AICC CWC member Gaikhangam, MLAs and other office bearers of the party.
As part of the observance, floral tributes were offered to the portrait of the former PM.
Speaking on the occasion, O Ibobi remarked that former PM Indira Gandhi is one of the bravest women in India.
Her role in safeguarding the territorial integrity of the country was unparalleled.
She once said in an event in Odisha, "Even if I died in the service of the nation, I would be proud of it.
Every drop of my blood...
will contribute to the growth of this nation and to make it strong and dynamic," he recounted.
"Indira Gandhi is one of the rarest leaders, who not only became the first woman PM of India but was also recognised by the world.
It is the duty of Congress to fulfil her vision of a strong and united democratic India," Ibobi asserted.
