Dr RK Ranjan disapproves western education system

Imphal, October 18 2021: Union minister of state for education Dr RK Ranjan has said that India was among top countries of the world in education sector around 2000 years back but the country is now lagging behind in the same sector due to imposition of western education system.

Dr RK Ranjan stated this during foundation stone laying ceremony of mathematical garden, water fountain, maths laboratory, computer and junior science under Atal Tinkering at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Yaralpat, Imphal East on Monday.

Addressing the gathering, Dr RK Ranjan said that existence of Takshila and Nalanda university proved that India had high education standard in the past and hence around 20,000 students from abroad including from China came to study at Takshila and Nalanda university.

He then said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to revive high standard of education that India had around 2000 years back through Cell Reliance India.

The event was also attended by NVS RO Shillong AC Ajay Kumar.
