AR conducts security meet in Kamjong district

Imphal, July 18 2024:
Assam Rifles organised a security conference with Kuki and Tangkhul communities in Kamjong district which had the participation of 18 from the Kuki community and 45 from the Tangkhul group.
According to a release issued by PRO IGAR (S) on Thursday, the meet served as an essential forum for open dialogue, where leaders addressed various security concerns and discussed collaborative measures to enhance safety and well-being.
These measures have played a vital role in maintaining stability in the region.
The Assam Rifles' initiative in organising such events highlights their role as peace builders.
Following the formal discussions, a luncheon provided an opportunity for informal interactions, thereby deepening personal connections and mutual understanding.
Village leaders thanked the Assam Rifles for the initiative and praised the security forces for their commitment to fostering unity and peace, noting that such efforts are crucial in building trust and cooperation among diverse communities, added the PRO.
