Body seeks public support to anti-drug campaign

Imphal, June 16 2022: The Kanglei People Against Narcotics & Psychotropic Substances (Kanglei Panas) has sought support from the people in the fight against psychotropic substances in the state.

Addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club, Kanglei Panas general secretary Phundrei Wahaj said in view of the growing instances of drug related cases in the state, the body was formed with the stated objective to prevent the younger generation from becoming victims of substance abuse.

Stating that the organisation will observe the "International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking" on June 26 at GM hall, he urged the people to participate in the programme and to support the fight against drugs in the state.
