Cash reward announced for info on arson cases

Imphal, August 09 2022: A cash reward of Rs 5 lakh each has been announced for providing information leading to identification and arrest of miscreants involved in three FIRs registered at Bishnupur and Churachandpur police stations in connection with torching of three vehicles along Tiddim road on August 6 and 7 .

The FIRs were registered in connection with torching of a Maruti Eeco van at Phougakchao Ikhai Awang Leikai on August 6 at about 2.40pm, a Maruti Swift car on August 6 at Kaprang village at about 5pm and a Tata 407 on August 7 at about 3pm at Vajing village, all located along Tiddim road.

A notice in this regard has been issued by special secretary (home) H Gyan Prakash stating that police have been investigating the three cases with all-out efforts but unable to establish identity of the culprits involved in burning down the vehicles so far and accordingly is seeking help of the public.
