CRPF extends aids to villagers, students

158 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a civic action programme in Senjam Chirang village on Thursday.
During the programme, sports equipment like volleyballs, volleyball nets, and footballs, alongside supplies such as water tanks, dustbins, and solar lights were distributed to the villagers.
The event was attended by village chief Manik Chand, along with CRPF officers led by 158 Bn CRPF commandant Sanjay Negi, 2-I/C Pradip Kumar Singh and deputy commandant Sumeet Kumar.
Addressing the gathering, Manik Chand applauded the CRPF for its dedication to community development, emphasising the need for bridging the gap between security forces and the people.
Sanjay Negi expressed his satisfaction with the programme and reaffirmed the CRPFs commitment to serving the community.
"We are delighted to contribute to the welfare of Senjam Chirang village, particularly the youth and children, whose future is the cornerstone of our nation s progress," he said.
The function concluded with the village's residents pledging their support to the CRPF s initiatives and looking forward to continued collaboration for a brighter and more prosperous future.
Meanwhile, 152 Bn CRPF under the aegis of Manipur and Nagaland Sector CRPF on Thursday distributed stationery items like school bags, copies, pens, pencils, and spiral notebooks to the students of Kanglatongbi, under its civic action programme, a release by 152 Bn CRPF said.
The event was attended by 152 Bn commandant Love Kumar as chief guest in the presence of 2-I/C Suresh Kumar, C/152 OC Sunil, OC F/152 inspector Vikram and other personnel of the Unit.
The village chief and other prominent villagers greeted the commandant and other officers with students presenting a cultural programme at the function, it added.
58th Bn CRPF conducted a free medical camp on Thursday at Langza village, Churachandpur.
The initiative was organised under the guidance of CRPF IG, M&N Sector Dr Vipul Kumar and supervised by DIG, Range Churachandpur Sh Sanjay Kumar, according to a press release issued by the 58 Bn CRPF.
The camp witnessed significant participation from residents of Langza, Chinglangmei, Samulam-lan, Nungthatampak, and Songphel.
A team of medical professionals, including 129 Bn CMO Dr Sunil Kumar Dhakad, 32 Bn MO Dr.Yash-pal Singh, District Hospital, Churachandpur Dr Thangboi Kipgen, along with medical staff from the 58 Bn CRPF and the DH, Churachandpur, attended to the patients.
Over 140 individuals, primarily women and children, received medical consultations and treatment.
Free medicines were also distributed for Various illnesses, highlighted the release.
