Subcontractors decry non-release of bills

Imphal, August 08 2024: Subcontractors, who were engaged by Manipur Food Industries Corporation Limited (MF1CL) to execute cold storage projects in nine districts projects under the funding of Ministry of Food Processing Industry, decried that they have not received their due payments even after release of funds by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).

Addressing the media at Takyel Industrial Estate on Thursday, one Nongmeikapam Leksam stated that they had constructed cold storages in nine districts after entrusted for the projects by MFICL but are yet to receive their payments from Finance Department even after the fund for the said project were released by NABARD in 2023.He further appealed for release of the pending bills to facilitate activation of the cold storages at the earliest.
