ARWWA empowers differently abled girls with mobility devices

Imphal, December 05 2024: In observance of the World Day for Persons with Disabilities, Navjeet Kaur Kamboj, Regional President, Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association (ARWWA) presented wheelchairs to two young girls facing physical challenges.

The beneficiaries were a girl child with cerebral palsy and one with bilateral muscular atrophy, each receiving a wheelchair to enhance their mobility and independence, said a press note issued by IGAR (S) .

Speaking on the occasion, the Regional President of ARWWA stated "Empowering differently-abled individuals is not just about providing physical aid but extending a sense of confidence and belonging in society.

ARWWA remains committed to making a positive difference in their lives" .
