Imphal, October 31 2021:
All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Manipur State Committee celebrated the 102nd foundation day of AITUC at Irawat Bhawan here on Sunday.
Speaking at the event, AITUC State general secretary L Sotinkumar informed that it is a congress of workers formed on October 31,1920 and is the oldest trade union of the country.
The union has been fighting for the rights of the workers since its inception and it will continue the fight.
The state committee of the congress will also continue its works relentlessly, he asserted.
Sotinkumar further said that the BJP government has been refusing to withdraw the anti-farm laws even as several farmers are committing suicide due to anti-farmer policies.

Under the new labour codes, the Modi government is bringing regulations to convert the working classes into bonded labourers by increasing their working hour from 8 hours to 10-12 hours under the guise of ease of doing business, he said.
