Death of Dr Nareso, others condoled

Imphal, May 27 2021: Several organisations have condoled the death of eminent personalities of the state and prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.

In a condolence meeting of Teachers' Forum LMS Law College, Imphal held in virtual mode on Thursday, the Forum members expressed deep condolence over the sudden and untimely demise of its co-convener associate professor Dr Vareso Ningshen.

Meitei Pangal Khunthok Ningsing Thouram Committee (Meipai Ningthou Committee) also deeply mourned the demise of two prominent meira paibi activists namely Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur publicity secretary RK Sanahanbi on May 20 and Meira Paibi Welfare Association Kangleipak (MEPWAKl general secretary Tongbram Prembala (Heiyai) on May 24.In separate releases, Hindustan Janata Party Manipur State Committee and Manipur State Committee Democratic Bharatiya Samaj Party (MSC/DBSJ) condoled the death of Chabungbam (o) Shila Devi, wife of MSC/DBSJ president and United Front Manipur convener Chabungbam Premchandra while All Manipur College Teachers' Association (AMCTA) and the teaching, non-teaching staff and students of Oriental College condoled the demise of assistant professor (Manipuri) Longjam Rameshwar Singh, who passed away on Thursday.
