Mason injured in blast at EE's house

Imphal, February 26 2023: A mason working at the Thangmeiband Muji Khul Maisnam Leikai residence of PWD executive engineer Nandeibam Ingocha sustained injuries after unknown miscreants exploded a bomb on Sunday night.

The injured mason had been identified as Bikash Kumar (33) Of Bihar.

He was injured after being hit by bomb splinters on his shin.

According to a police report, the blast occurred around 6.40 pm Sunday at the house currently construction in the property bought in the name of Ingocha's wife Huidrom Kalyani (59) .

The splinters from the blast hit Bikash on his shin, while also damaging a white Alto car parked inside the property.

On hearing news of the blast, a team of Imphal PS along with forensic experts arrived at the scene and conducted preliminary investigation.

The team registered an FIR in connection with the incident and also carried out a search operation in the surrounding area.

Meanwhile, Bikash was rushed for treatment to RIMS Hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.
