Imphal, December 22 2021: A one day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICAP) on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was organised at TG Higher Secondary School, here by Regional Outreach Bureau, Imphal of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Wednesday.

A release by programme in-charge Thokchom Anthony informed that as resource person of the event, school's history lecturer Kebi Goswami presented a detailed account on India's freedom struggle and contributions of the unsung heroes and lesser known freedom fighters from the state in freedom movement.

The contributions of Jananeta Hijam Irabot and Indian National Army which reached Moirang was also discussed, amongst others.

As a part of the programme, students were also sensitised about COVID-19 and urged to always wear mask properly, maintain hand hygiene, physical distance and SOP formulated by the government.

A quiz contest was also held and prizes along with certificates distributed.

The event was attended by school principal A Sangeeta Devi, vice principal Vinita Devi Elangbam and Chemistry lecturer Dharmen Singh amongst others.
