Bishnupur, January 22 2022: e-Shram cards were distributed to beneficiaries of Borayangbi Gram Panchayat under Kumbi AC by Kumbi Kendra Progressive farmers Association president and social worker Sanasam Dinesh Meetei during a programme held at Tangjeng Bazar on Saturday.

e-Shram cards were provided to around 50 beneficiaries who are engaged in occupations such as farming, fishing and weaving, etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Dinesh highlighted that under the centrally-sponsored scheme several benefits and facilities are provided to farmers and labourers from time to time.

In times of misfortune such as illness and accidents, the government provides insurance cover under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), he added.

Organic micro-nutrient fertilisers for winter crops were also distributed to farmers on the occasion.
