Screening test conducted, sports items distributed

Imphal, May 21 2024: Assam Rifles conducted a three-day screening test for the local youth of Ukhrul and Kamjong districts from May 18 to 20, to select suitable individuals for pre-recruitment training at Shangshak village in Ukhrul district.

In all 60 aspirants from Ukhrul and Kamjong districts attended the screening test for the pre-recruitment training.

The screening session included various events aimed at evaluating and motivating the attendees.

The events comprised phased medical screening to identify any health issues, written examination to assess the knowledge level of the attendees and plan their coaching classes accordingly, and recreational activities such as games and movie screenings to entertain and inspire the local youth, according to PRO IGAR(S) .

The screening session for pre-recruitment training concluded on Monday with 15 individuals selected out of the 60 who reported for the test.

In another initiative, Assam Rifles distributed sports items to internally displaced people at KSO Community School, Sangaikot, Churachandpur district on Monday.

The Assam Rifles camp at Sangaikot village organised a motivational cum interaction programme and distributed sports items with the goal of motivating the internally displaced children while also providing some comfort and hope in their difficult circumstances.

230 children benefited from the event, said the PRO in another release.
