UCM gifts wheelchairs to PwDs

Imphal, April 20 2022: United Committee Manipur (UCM) distributed wheelchairs to persons with disabilities (PwD) at their respective residences on Wednesday.

In a release, UCM IPR secretary Leishemba Lam abam assured of extending all possible help to the PwDs 'in the state.

There is a need led by its president Joychan dra Konthoujam went to the residences of the beneficiary PwDs and handed over the wheelchairs along with fi nancial assistance.

Monthly pension amount of Rs 1500 each-was also distributed to underprivileged sections by joining hands with social welfare department, Leishemba informed.

Highlighting the need for opening schools for differently abled people, Leish emba urged the government to establish schools that can provide vocational training so as to help them live a decent life.
