Promotion of composite history stressed

Expressing concern over the discontentment between hills and valley, and various issues plaguing the state, RK Fortune Developers Private Limited managing director RK Rameshwar has stressed the need for promoting composite history.
Inaugurating a multipurpose hall of Youth Welfare Club, Patsoi Part 1 on Monday, RK Rameshwar, who would be contesting the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election from Patsoi AC, said that Christians and Muslims have their place of worship which also acts as a centre of congregation where they discuss issues related to their faith and community.
However, Meeteis which is considered as the majority community lacks such centre and it resulted in the degradation of socio-economic conditions of Meeteis.
So, he has constructed the multipurpose hall as he felt the need for such centre and the hall will act as one.
Regarding the issue of unity and integrity, he said that the state needs chapters in academic curricular on identi fies and history of different indigenous communities of the state.
It is a must to promote composite history in order to bring closer the different ethnic communities and bring unity in the state, he reiterated.
