Heavy rain lashes Noney, TML

Noney, August 17 2021: Normal life in Noney and Tamenglong districts has been disrupted after heavy rainfall triggered massive landslide along the Tamen-glong-Khongshang Road on Tuesday morning.

The landslide occurred at an area about 5 km away from Khongshang and forced stoppage of vehicular movement for hours on both sides of the road.

However, the stranded vehicles started to move staggeringly after the debris were cleared by Shivalaya Company,'a road construction company that is engaged along Khongshang-Tamenglong Road.

Most rivers in the two districts are also flowing at danger level while power lines have also been tripped in both districts leaving the denizens with no power supply.

Landslides have also been reported in between Tupul and Taokomjang along Bishnupur-Tupul Road and IT Road.
