Will vaccinate all above 18 years by July: Kakching MLA

Kakching, June 16 2021: Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar has stated that by the end of July all the persons in the Kakching assembly constituency over the age of 18 years will be vaccinated.

Speaking while inspecting the mass Covid vaccination programme organised at Primary Health Centre (PHC) Pallel on Wednesday, Rameshwar informed that under the initiative of the chief minister to vaccinate all, the vaccination programme was held at PHC Pallel for denizens of Pallel, Irengband and Sora.

Till now, 18,000 people aged 18-44 have been vaccinated in the Kakching AC, while most of the persons above 45 in the AC have been vaccinated and plan is to vaccinate all of them by June 25.On top of the under PM's instruction vaccination will now be done every day for people between the age of 18-44, he said and appealed the public to get themselves vaccinated.

In all, 120 people both from over 45 age and 18-44 age categories were vaccinated on Wednesday.

During the programme, PHC Pallel MO in charge Dr Kh Gopeshwar presented gifts to two ASHA workers under the PHC, Takhellambam Menaka and Takhellambam Naobi for their excellent work.
