Army restores power supply, conducts medical camp

Indian Army personnel repaired electrical connection to Corner Stone School, Chingmang village, ensuring a suitable learning environment for its students.
In a release, PRO Defence said that in response to a request from Chingmang village chief Lunmang Chongloi, a team of electricians was sent with necessary materials to address inadequate electricity infrastructure of the school.
The team then replaced the faulty electrical items and repaired the non-functional ones, restoring power in all the classrooms, it added.
On the other hand, Indian Army organised a medical camp at Khoirentak relief camp in Churachandpur district as part of the ongoing efforts to support the well-being of local populace.
According to the PRO, 150 inhabitants of the relief camp and residents of adjoining villages were provided with essential healthcare services including consultation, treatment, and medicines.
The team of Army doctors and nursing staff also conducted an awareness lecture on water-borne diseases and precautions to be taken against malaria.
