Student bodies to utilise unused funds for welfare activities

Six student bodies have jointly announced the utilisation of unused fund of students' unions of various colleges and higher secondary schools for activities beneficial to students.
The decision comes in the light of the current crisis leading to non-conduct of election for Students' Unions for the academic session 2023-24.In a joint statement, the student bodies comprising DESAM, MSF, AIMS, KSA, SUK and another organisation emphasised that the unutilised funds will now be redirected towards the development of educational institutions and activities that promote student welfare.
Highlighting the importance of holistic development, the statement outlined several educational and extracurricular activities that will-benefit from this initiative.
These include conduct of debating competitions, quiz, symposium, sports events, cultural programmes, inter-college events, and other extracurricular activities.
The student bodies expressed belief that these activities are crucial in grooming students to become better pillars of future society.
By fostering a supportive and enriching environment, they aim to enhance the overall educational experience and personal growth of students, said the statement.
