Assam Rifles provides medical assistance

Sajik Tampak Battalion and Loktak Battalion of IGAR (S) provided life-saving medical assistance to a gun-shot victim and a snake-bite patient at T Jangnuam village in Chandel district and Khousabung village, Kangvai in Churachandpur district respectively on Tuesday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), one Khupkang (55) village chief of T Jangnuam village suffered a gunshot wound while he was adjusting his 12 mm bore hunting rifle and was bleeding profusely.
Medical team at Sajik Tampak provided emergency medical assistance by treating the wound and stabilised his condition.
On the other hand, a 25 years old lady, Jolly Gangte was bitten by a venomous snake and she was rushed to the Bn HQ Kangvai medical hospital of Assam Rifles by villagers with symptoms of mild fever, vomiting and headache.
The medical team immediately rendered lifesaving medical care and stabilised her condition.
She was referred to the District Hospital Churachandpur for further treatment, it added.
