Kakching prepares for I-Day celebration

Kakching, August 02 2024: Kakhcing deputy commissioner Rohit Anand on Friday held a meeting met with district level officers (DLOs) and department representatives in preparation for the upcoming Independence Day celebration in the district.

During the meeting, the DC discussed in detail the roles and responsibilities of each department assigned for the day.

He also took suggestions from the DLOs about possible activities which could be carried out for the Independence Day celebration.

After delegating duties to the relevant departments, the meeting decided that a marathon be organised as part of the Tiranga Yatra on August 12, 2024 .

The full dress rehearsal is likely to be held on August 13 .

The meeting was also attended by Kakching SP Thokchom Vikramjit Singh, ADC/ADM Moirangthem Kapajit and district administration officers, among others.
