SDRF Manipur helping flood-hit Assam people

Imphal, July 01 2022: The SDRF Manipur team which is currently in Assam continued their relentless service to flood hit people of the neighbouring state particularly in Manipuri inhabited areas Silchar under Cachar district.

The SDRF Manipur team led by 2nd OC and sub-team commander O Achouba Singh distributed edible items and drinking water to flood affected villagers of Silchar-7 Bebekananda road.

The team also rescued patients from inundated houses using motorboat and provided medicines and other essential items.

According to a report from the SDRF Manipur team, flood hit villages in Cachar are facing acute shortage of drinking water and the team is providing the same to such villages.

The report also said that team will continue its service in flood affected areas of the neighbouring state.
