FESOK identifies recalcitrant teachers

Federal Students' Organisation, Kangleipak (FESOK) has asserted that some schools and colleges are making the School Fagathanshi Mission of the state government meaningless.
In a release, FESOK secretary general Shibadatta Sarangthem informed it carried out inspection of schools for the second time and found Abusidik Junior High School (Aided), Heingang closed.
The head master Alimuddin and approved teachers including M Nirmala Devi, Tamanna and Md Nawajuddin neither maintained the attendance register for the students nor they themselves reported for duty for protracted days.
As such, ZEO Zone-II should hold back release of salary of the teachers, he demanded.
Shibadatta further confided that Khurai Heigrumakhong Junior High School has 120 students but there is dearth of classrooms and the school does not have any toilet.
He urged the authorities concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.
