Ukhrul, July 30 2022: Semlong Kasomtang, Ukhrul today organised a one day workshop on "New strategy of learning English and pronouncing skills" at Hunphun Baptist Church, Ukhrul.

During the workshop, resource person Ningmareo Shimray educated the participants on 3 major aspects of learning English.

"Development of the concept of sub-syllables, primary sound of the English alphabet & spelling and classification of English IPA are essential in the English language", he said.

Demonstrating various steps to enhance reading skills, Ningmareo Shimray stated that the primary sound of vowels are classified on the basis of monophthongal and diphthongal while consonants are broadly classified on the basis of voiced & voiceless.
