Imphal, February 26 2023: A Meetei Mayek version of the theatre play titled Doctor Faustus' which was originally penned by Christopher Marlowe and translated into Manipuri (MM) by professor Chongtham Manihar was released on Sunday at Manipur Press Club.

As part of the book release programme organised by The Cultural Forum Manipur, 207-208th edition of the journal "Ritu" was also released.

The programme was attended by Khangabok MLA Surjakumar Okram as chief guest and Forum Manipur president professor Huirem Behari as functional president.

A poetry recitation programme chaired by author Yengkhom Indira was also conducted as part of the event.

On the other-hand, a short story book titled "Missing" penned by Vidyarani Hanjabam (Vidya H GA) was released on Sunday at Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Chingmeirong premises.

The programme was attended by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad president L Joychandra as chief guest and Manipur State Film Development Society secretary Sanzu Bachaspatimayum as functional president.

As part of the event, DM College of Arts assistant professor Dr Dhanamanjuri Lourembam shared her views on the book.
