Mass vaccination, free medical camp held at Gorkha Jhil

Kangpokpi, June 25 2021: Intensifying the vaccination campaign in the remote areas of Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency, the local MLA Nemcha Kipgen in collaboration with Covid Task Force Irang area and the medical team organized mass vaccination at Gorkha Jhil in Irang Part-II today.

The mass vaccination programme was also supported by former members of ADC Sadar Hills, BP Vikas Basnet and Sagar Gewali apart from TSA Sadar Hills COVID-19 Vaccination Team.

Around 138 individuals were vaccinated in the mass vaccination programme.

Monsoon showers and unfavourable weather conditions had badly affected the turn out in the mass vaccination programme.

Nemcha Kipgen via phone call addressed the people encouraging them to get vaccinated at the earliest while stressing the importance of vaccination.

"Let's all come together and fight the dreaded COVID-19 and make our assembly constituency a Covid Free AC sooner than later", said the MLA.

She also appreciated the medical personnel, volunteers of CTF Irang area, former ADC Sadar Hills members and the Assam Rifles personnel for their support and cooperation to make the vaccination program a success.

Meanwhile, 44 Assam Rifles Banglabung under the aegis of 22 Sector Assam Rifles IGAR(E) led by Col Pradeep Kumar, Commandant 44 AR and Commiandant Shyam Sundar Shah, Chief Medical Officer 44 AR also organized a free medical camp during the mass vaccination drive where free medicines were also provided to the people.

The Assam Rifles officials, medical officials, former ADC Sadar Hills members also embarked on tree plantation after the mass vaccination and free medical camp.

The Covid Task Force Irang Area chairman, Man Kumar on behalf of the people of Irang area expressed heartfelt gratitude to the local MLA for her tireless efforts and commitment towards combating the dreaded COVID-19 and for the safety of the people.

He also conveyed gratitude to the 44 Assam Rifles Banglabung, the medical department, TSA Sadar Hills COVID-19 Vaccination Team, former ADC Sadar Hills members and other local bodies for the free medical camp, assistance in the vaccination program, etc.
