Home Films mourns demise of W Basanta

Imphal, May 24 2021: Home Films, Manipur has condoled the demise of former film producer W Basanta on May 23 due to a personal illness.

An emergency meeting of the officer bearers of the film banner was convened today at 4 pm in honour of W Basanta who was producer of the Manipur feature film 'Lucy Thoibi', said Home Films in a condolence note issued today.

W Basanta was a social worker who worked towards peaceful co-existence among communities and for the betterment of the growing generation, Home Films said.

The members present observed two minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul, it said.

The members also prayed for his soul to rest in peace and shared grief of the bereaved family members.
