44 AR conducts medical camp

Imphal, January 22 2022:
44 Assam Rifles of 22 sector/IGAR(East) in contribution towards 'Fit India Movement' and as a part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' organised one day free Medical cum Health Awareness Camp in Naga Tapon village of Kangpokpi district in collaboration with Public Health Centre, T Waichong sub-division on Saturday.
As per a release by PIB (Defence), the one-day medical camp 'Swasthya Shivir' was conducted with an aim to provide basic health care fa-cilities and free medicines to the residents of remote areas where medical facility is not easily available.
The battalion medical team along with Public Health Centre, T Waichong MO incharge Dr Arif examined patients from various age groups and distributed free medicines to the local villagers of Naga Tapon and nearby villages.
A total 150 persons benefited from the camp.
The battalion medical team also distributed sanitisers, masks and spread Covid-19 awareness through various posters and cut-outs.
