Imphal, November 20 2021:
While terming the decision of repealing the three anti-farm laws as a massive victory for the farmers, CPI-M Manipur State Secretariat has extended heartiest congratulations to the farmers who bravely participated in the movement launched by Samyukta Kisan Morcha.
Speaking to newspersons in this regard, CPI-M state secretary Ksh Shanta contended that PM Narendra Modi and his government have been forced to repeal the anti-farm laws.
However, the PM tried to shift the blame to some farmers while trying to justify the three black laws.
The government is yet to apologise and condole the farmers who were killed or injured during the movement, he charged.
Demanding the parliament to repeal the three laws and give legal right to sell agriculture products at MSP; Shanta pointed out that around 759 farmers were killed during the movement.
The farmers took the movement as the battle of their lives and shut down roads.
They suffered various atrocities of BJP and as such, action should be taken up against the person(s) responsible for meting out such ill treatment to the farmers, he demanded.
