National seminar on advanced materials begins

Imphal, June 20 2024: Under the aegis of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Physics Department of S Kula Women's College, Nambol on Thursday inaugurated a three-day national seminar on 'Advanced materials: A way forward towards sustainable future (AMSF-2024)' at the college.

The inaugural function was attended by DMU former vice chancellor Prof N Rajmuhon as chief guest and College principal Dr W Robindro as president while DM College of Commerce principal Prof A Nabachandra and AMSF-2024 convenor Dr A Joy were present as guests of honour.

Speaking at the event, Dr Joy highlighted that in view of the demand for various materials on the rise every day in sync with the growing population, the seminar aims to explore means to bring sustainable development by using advanced materials to attain the goal of the progressive society.

Subject experts would present papers on advanced materials during the seminar being attended by 50 delegates from different colleges and universities.
