ZUCM for low-key Gaan Ngai celebration

Zeliangrong United Committee, Manipur Valley (ZUCM) has appealed to all concerned for celebrating the annual festival 'Gaan Ngai' beginning from January 23 in all parts of Manipur, Assam and Nagaland strictly in a sanctioned religious manner to invoke Gods' blessing for restoration of peace and bringing prosperity.
In a release, ZUCM president Meibon Phaomei said that Gaan Ngai is a unique ritual and traditional festival of Zeliangrong and kindred tribes and is the grandest festival of Zeliangrong Nagas lasting five days.
While extending Gaan Ngai greetings, he appealed to all concerned for observing the ritual of the festival in a sanctified manner to invoke Gods' blessing.
