Imphal, August 13 2022: In connection with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, Sheidamkhol organised a Nupi Pala Festival as part of Jhulon Kala Utsav at Gurumayum Mandap, Hoabam Marak Ngangom Leikai on Friday.

Presided over by Manipur Secretariat security officer Ph Maheshwori (MPS), the festival was attended by Cultural Workers and Activists' Forum, Manipur chairman Buddha Chingtham as chief guest and theatre critic Dr Lamabam Gojendro as guest of honour.

Speaking on the occasion, Theatre Centre Manipur president Naba Wareppa (Padmashree) said that Manipuri Sankritan and Raas Leela are the cores of Manipuri culture and as such, the youth need to be aware of the state's rich cultural heritage.
