Thoubal, June 13 2022: Under the aegis of BJP Manipur Pradesh, BJP Thoubal District organised 'Sampark Se Samarthan (Support through outreach) Urban Poor' programme by carrying out cleanliness drive, sapling plantation and distribution of leaflets informing about various government schemes at Babu Bazar and in surrounding areas of Thingujam ground on Tuesday.

The programme was attended by BJP state president A Sharda, secretaries P Premananda and K Sarat, K Inaocha Devi and BJP Thoubal District president Y Kumarjit and party workers.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharda informed that the programme has been organised as part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' and also to mark the eight years of Modi government and it will go on till June 15.Tuesday's event was held around Babu Bazar area with similar programme also conducted in Tamenglong on same day, she mentioned, while adding that the programme aims to facilitate BJP workers meet people affected by Covid-10, raise awareness on vaccination and interact with poor households and inform them about various welfare schemes of the government.
