Random testing drive of curfew violators conducted

Imphal, June 12 2021: Random Covid testing for curfew violators was done at the Community Hall of Sawombung Students Club near Sawombung Gate today.

The testing drive was carried out under the aegis of District Administration Imphal East, Imphal East District Police and CMO Imphal East with the support from the volunteers of Covid Task Forces of Sawombung, Pourabi and Pungdongbam.

Around 100 curfew violators were tested today and 3 persons were found to be Covid positive.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional SP of Imphal East Ravikumar Kshetrimayum, IPS appealed to all to strictly adhere to curfew imposed by the State to contain the further spread of COVID-19.He continued that today's random testing will be a lesson for the curfew violators and such a drive will help in isolating the Covid positive and negative ones.

Further he extended gratitude to all who supported today's random testing drive for curfew violators.
