Book Culture launches 'Travelling Book Fair'

Imphal, October 11 2024: Book Culture North-East kicked off a week-long Travelling Book Fair' at Library and Information Centre, Kakching on Friday.

The book fair organised with an aim to imbibe and encourage reading habits among the people has books of various genres ranging from fiction, non-fiction, academic, children's collection to Manipuri literature and North-east titles are on display at the fair.

Speaking on the sidelines of the fair, Book Culture North East book-curator Pukhrambam Ypihen informed that objective of the book fair is to exhibit and sell the books at discounted rates and promote a reading environment.

While calling upon the people to participate in the book fair so as to help develop reading culture in the society, he assured that similar book fairs will be organised in other districts in the state as well as in the North Eastern states, so as to bring the people together and foster d reading community.
